Overview
Tallo is a career readiness and talent discovery platform that connects students, job seekers, and scholarship providers across the United States. The platform serves millions of users and partners with major organizations to bridge the gap between education and employment.
As the lead designer and developer, I own the end-to-end product design and front-end implementation across web and mobile. This includes a comprehensive design system built in Figma (audited, restructured, and maintained by me), responsive web interfaces in React, and native mobile experiences in React Native.
My work on Tallo spans everything from high-level product design strategy to pixel-level implementation, from designing new features and refactoring legacy UI to building reusable component libraries and ensuring design consistency across platforms. This is my primary engagement and represents my most sustained, in-depth product work.
Key Contributions
- Designed and maintain the complete Figma design system: audited, renamed, and restructured for scalability across web and mobile
- Built and ship production React and React Native components directly, owning both design and implementation
- Led UI/UX for multiple major feature launches including onboarding redesigns, profile enhancements, and search/discovery improvements
- Established design-to-development workflow standards, reducing handoff friction and accelerating feature delivery
- Created responsive, accessible interfaces serving millions of active users across desktop, iOS, and Android
